Mets close to acquiring Addison Reed

The Mets will send two minor leaguers to the Diamondbacks for the veteran reliever, pending exchange of medical information, according to ESPN's Adam Rubin and multiple reports. Reed, 2-2 with a 4.20 ERA in 38 appearances this season, would help bolster the bullpen.

Redskins quarterback Robert Griffin III went through at least a one-hour workout before tonight's game at Baltimore. Griffin did his normal pre-game routine, taking hard drops in the pocket and throwing with velocity. He tossed to stationary targets until he started throwing downfield passes. Griffin will not play tonight because of an apparent concussion suffered in last week's game vs. Detroit.
