In 1992, the Blue Jays acquired David Cone at the trade deadline. Cone had gone 13-7 with a 2.88 ERA before joining Toronto, and led the Jays to a World Series title. This year's David, Price, comes to Toronto with a 9-4 record and a 2.53 ERA.

Ohio State football suspends 4 players

Junior defensive end Joey Bosa, sophomore H-back Jalin Marshall, senior receiver Corey Smith and junior H-back Dontre Wilson will miss the Buckeyes' first game of the season, Sept. 7 at Virginia Tech, for violating department policy, according to the school's AD office. A source tells Joe Schad marijuana and academics are the reasons for the suspensions.
