I really hope Jae Crowder doesn't have a serious knee injury. He's played his way into a nice contract since going from Dallas to Boston.

No Kevin Love, J.R. Smith?

The Cavs could potentially lose Kevin Love (injury) and J.R. Smith (suspension) for a period of time this postseason. Entering today, the two ranked third and fourth in minutes played and points scored for the Cavaliers this postseason.

The Cavs outscored teams by 6.6 points per 100 possessions with Kevin Love on the court during the regular season, which would be tied for 3rd with the Spurs if they were to put up those numbers for the whole year. They were outscored by 1.5 per 100 with Love on the bench.

Crowder (knee) exits, J.R. ejected

Jae Crowder sprained his left knee after taking a blow to the face from J.R. Smith and falling awkwardly on his leg. Smith was assessed a Flagrant 2 foul and ejected from the game. Two years ago to the day, Smith was suspended for an altercation against the Celtics in Game 3 of the playoffs.

Kevin Pelton @kpelton

Thinking way outside the box: If J.R. Smith is going to get suspended a game, the Cavs are better off having it be Game 5 of this series.
