Five free agents worth the gamble

Dexter Fowler's consistency puts him on David Schoenfield's list of five free agents teams should consider signing.

On Carolina's last series Ted Ginn Jr. was credited with taking sack on bubble screen play that looked like wide receiver pass. He joins Kevin Faulk and William Perry as the only non-QBs to take sacks in Super Bowl history.

Demaryius Thomas is in the game, but still looks like he's feeling the effects of the big hit.

Jordan Norwood sets Super Bowl record

The Broncos punt returner eschewed the fair catch, hauling in a punt in traffic and returning it 61 yards, the longest punt return in Super Bowl history. There has never been a punt return TD in the Super Bowl. Follow live

I felt that Luke Kuechly hit way up in the press box. Nice guy is an animal on the field.

Talib joins unenviable Super Bowl history

Broncos CB Aqib Talib's 3 penalties ties the most he's ever had in a game. He becomes only the fourth player in the last 15 years with 3 penalties in the Super Bowl.

No coach challenges more than Carolina coach Ron Rivera. He may have a case here. Appears Kony Ealy got a hand on Peyton Manning when Manning went down temporarily.

Aqib Talib's lack of discipline (2 penalties) against Carolina sparking memories of his performance vs. Panthers w/ Patriots in '13.

Jonathan Stewart scores Panthers' TD

The running back left the game earlier with a foot injury, but returned and put Carolina on the board in the second quarter with a 1-yard TD run. It's his third rushing TD this postseason. Follow live

So... this means Talib would have been ejected under Goodell's proposed rule, right?
