White Sox-Orioles postponed for safety concerns

The Baltimore Orioles' home game against the Chicago White Sox was postponed Monday night because of safety concerns after riots broke out near Camden Yards following the funeral of Freddie Gray.

ESPNChicago's Doug Padilla from Camden Yards, where tonight's game was postponed due to protests outside the stadium: “Everybody was monitoring it and the whole time … you could see the helicopters floating nearby. You could hear the sirens from police cars.”


Showalter, O's owner to meet in morning

Said Orioles manager Buck Showalter, as told to BBTN: "We'll probably make a decision [on Tuesday's game] in the morning, see how the night goes here in Baltimore before we do anything. ... They're trying to get my input from a baseball standpoint on what might work or not work. Obviously, there are a lot more important issues going on in our city right now."
