High hopes in Dallas for DeAndre

Mavericks owner Mark Cuban told radio station 1310 The Ticket in Dallas he sees DeAndre Jordan as a franchise player. "We see him as 'Shaq-like' but never having been given the opportunity. We told him if he came to the Mavs, he would be a focal point. He would grow into being a franchise player."

No. 5 PG going to UConn

Alterique Gilbert (Class of '16) will try to continue the tradition of Kemba Walker, Shabazz Napier and Ryan Boatright. "I love the relationship me and coach [Kevin] Ollie have, and my mom as well." Scouting Report (Insider)

Jeff Goodman @GoodmanESPN

UConn huge pickup in Alterique Gilbert - one of top point guards in 2016 class. He and Jalen Adams will be phenomenal together in Storrs.

Jeff Borzello @jeffborzello

Alterique Gilbert is one of my favorite players in 2015 class. Dynamic point guard, keeps defenders on skates. Outstanding off the bounce.
