Have you started your Christmas shopping yet?
Michael Parks -- Memphis, Tenn.

Melissa Stark: Oh yeah, I started a long time ago. I am pretty much finished. Our schedule is so busy around this time of year that I have to start early. I always think I can shop on the road. For example, there was a great mall right near our hotel in Miami, but I never go because there is no way I am going to lug gifts back on the plane.

I love shopping around the holidays in New York because everything is decorated and it really gets you in the Christmas spirit. But it is so crowded. The trick is to go early to avoid the rush, or get gifts online -- that's another thing I do.

By the way, Michael, I hope for your sake that you have started your shopping, too.

Do you think that the Dolphins have a real chance to reach to represent the AFC in the Super Bowl?
Nick Pagenkopf -- Caldwell, Idaho

Chris Chambers
Chris Chambers hauled in this touchdown pass in the fourth quarter of Miami's 41-6 victory over the Colts.
Melissa Stark: I don't think so, Nick. I liked the way they played against the Colts Monday night. Jay Fiedler seems to have the confidence they need now. Not only did he throw to eight different receivers, he's been mistake-free for the last three games after throwing five interceptions in the two games before the win at Buffalo in Week 11.

Wide receiver Chris Chambers has been a huge addition to that team -- what a surprise after being the 10th receiver taken in the draft! Of course, the defense has always been strong and certainly pressured Peyton Manning the entire game Monday, but Indy is not the team it once was. The next two games will be a huge test for Miami: at San Francisco and at New England.

But honestly, I think the Pittsburgh Steelers are the team to beat now, with Kordell Stewart playing as well as I have ever seen him. He was really impressive against the Jets last Sunday, especially without Jerome Bettis in the lineup. If they get home-field advantage, and I think they will, they are the odds-on favorite. Apart from that, I still think the Oakland Raiders -- and even the Baltimore Ravens -- have a better shot at the Super Bowl than the Miami Dolphins.

Who is your pick for league MVP?
Tien Vu -- Oakland, Calif.

Melissa Stark: Jerome Bettis. He is the best player on the best team right now.

Other contenders: perennials like Brett Favre and Kurt Warner; and newcomers like Packers' RB Ahman Green, who leads the NFC with 1,094 yards rushing -- and 49ers WR Terrell Owens, who leads the league with 13 TD catches. And if the New York Giants weren't having such a lousy year, Michael Strahan -- who is having a career seasons with 16 ½ sacks -- would be a worthy choice.

Why do the Saints match up with the Rams so well, and what do you think the Saints' chances are of making the playoffs this year?
Brannon Rushing -- Houston

Joe Horn
Joe Horn has emerged as the Saints' most dangerous receiver.
Melissa Stark: The Saints do seem to match up well. First, New Orleans has a very good pass rush, with La'Roi Glover, Charlie Clemons and Joe Johnson all among the NFC leaders in sacks, and the Rams have proven themselves somewhat vulnerable. Warner is not the most mobile quarterback and has been sacked 27 times. This allows the Saints to disrupt the Rams' vaunted passing attack. If you allow Warner time to read the defense and throw, the Rams are unstoppable.

Second, New Orleans has a capable, balanced offense, with Ricky Williams providing a ground attack and Aaron Brooks and Joe Horn developing into a potent pass threat. The more the Saints can keep possession on offense and score, the longer they can keep the Rams' offense off the field and then make them play catch-up when they are on the field. So the Saints have strengths that seem to counter the Rams strengths.

Do you think this Monday's Rams-Saints game will be the MNF game of the year?
Sully -- Ashland, Mass.

Melissa Stark: First of all, it won't take much to be the MNF game of the year given some of the matchups we've had so far. That being said, if past matches between these two teams are any indication, the answer is yes.

While the Rams are looking strong, the Saints will be fired up and are playing at home, where they are always tough (as the Rams know from last year's playoffs). The Saints say the have the Rams number, have beaten them in three of the past four meetings and each team acknowledges that the other is now its biggest rival.

The last time they played, the Saints taunted St. Louis, calling it a finesse team. The Rams have not forgotten that. In fact, right after that was said, Mike Martz wore a T-shirt that said "Finesse Coach" as a joke.

Bottom line, you better tune in Monday Night because this is going to be a great one.
