Sheckler, P-Rod to open Dodgers game

Professional skateboarders Ryan Sheckler and Paul Rodriguez will throw out the ceremonial first pitch of the Los Angeles Dodgers and the Philadelphia Phillies game on Wednesday, September 1. "Warmin' up my arm for the Dodger game tomorrow! Throwing the first pitch with my boy P-Rod," said Sheckler via a statement on Twitter on Tuesday.

Both members of the newly formed Street League, Sheckler and Rodriguez recently competed in the the inaugural event of the tour in Phoenix, Ariz. Sheckler did not advance beyond prelims, but Rodriguez finished seventh overall in the final results.

Currently sitting in 4th place in the NL East division, the Dodgers game begins at 12:10 PM ET.
