The Jets had the most embarrassing display of football we have seen from them this season, and it comes at an awful time. The loss ended New York’s 2012 season early and someone must shoulder the blame.
In our latest edition of Poll Friday, we want to know if Jets head coach Rex Ryan deserves to be back in 2013. His Jets career started out well but has fizzled the past two seasons. Ryan is 32-27 as head coach and has a 4-2 mark in the playoffs.
But Ryan went to back-to-back AFC title games in his first two seasons. He brought confidence, bravado and a very good defense back to “Gang Green” and nearly got the Jets to the Super Bowl. Did Ryan prove himself enough in the first two years to deserve another shot to turn the Jets around?
Or did Ryan wear out his welcome? The past two years the Jets have been undisciplined. Ryan’s trash talking has been mostly hot air and his undying loyalty to struggling quarterback Mark Sanchez also has been an issue. The Jets are on course for their first losing season under Ryan.
Using our SportsNation poll, vote on whether Ryan should be fired or return to the Jets in 2013. You can also share your thoughts in the comment section below.
