Here are the most interesting stories Monday in the AFC East:
The Miami Dolphins are expected to show interest in Florida State cornerback Xavier Rhodes.
Morning take: Rhodes is an interesting prospect whose stock is on the rise. The Dolphins certainly need corners. Would they take Rhodes at No. 12?
The Buffalo Bills met with free-agent tight end Fred Davis over the weekend.
Morning take: The interest makes sense. Buffalo starting tight end Scott Chandler suffered a knee injury in Week 16 and will miss most of the offseason. The Bills need an insurance policy.
The new contract Sebastian Vollmer received from the New England Patriots is a four-year extension.
Morning take: The Patriots were smart to keep Vollmer and left tackle Nate Solder together. Ideally, quarterback Tom Brady will have his two outside protectors for the foreseeable future.
Can New York Jets quarterback Mark Sanchez recover and have a good season?
Morning take: My expectations are very low for Sanchez. Sanchez had four years to prove he’s a franchise quarterback and hasn’t done it. If not for his contract, he would be out of chances with the Jets.
