Morning take: Aaron Hernandez adds lawyer

June, 26, 2013
Here are the most interesting stories Wednesday in the AFC East:
  • New England Patriots star tight end Aaron Hernandez adds defense attorney Jamie Sultan to his legal counsel.
Morning take: The police are full-go on the homicide investigation. So Hernandez isn’t wasting any time putting his legal team together. This case may drag into the regular season, which is a problem for the Patriots.
Morning take: Stephon Gilmore could be a future star, but I’m not completely sold on the rest of the group. Aaron Williams’ move to safety makes Buffalo’s cornerback group thin. Others like Justin Rogers must step up.
  • The New York Jets will begin training camp on July 26th in Cortland, N.Y.
Morning take: This year will not be the same circus without Tebow-mania. The Patriots will have to handle the added attention in training camp.
Morning take: Jenkins has a lot of athleticism and brings immediate value as a special-teams option. However, size could be an issue at the next level.
