The New York Jets added another position battle in their training camp. The team signed former Pro Bowl kicker Billy Cundiff on Tuesday to compete with Jets veteran incumbent Nick Folk.

Cundiff was a journeyman kicker until finally settling into a groove with the Baltimore Ravens. He spent three strong seasons in Baltimore from 2009 to 2011, which included a Pro Bowl year in 2010. However, Cundiff missed a 32-yard chip shot late in the AFC title game against the New England Patriots after the 2011 season and was released. He played with the Washington Redskins and San Francisco 49ers last season.

Folk has kicked for the Jets the past three seasons. He made 21 of 27 field goals for New York in 2012.
