Kevin Kolb to miss Monday scrimmage

August, 5, 2013
Buffalo Bills quarterback Kevin Kolb will not take part in Monday night's live scrimmage due to a death in the family, the team announced.

On Sunday, head coach Doug Marrone said the team was "trying to get" Kolb on the field for the scrimmage after he "bumped" his knee slipping on a wet rubber mat between practice fields on Saturday.

The team also announced that running back C.J. Spiller would not take part in parts of the scrimmage that involved live tackling.

Tight end Scott Chandler (ACL) and Mario Williams (sore foot) will not take part in the live portions of the scrimmage.

Other injured players not suiting up are wide receivers Steve Johnson (hamstring) and Kevin Elliott (shoulder); cornerback Justin Rogers (hamstring); tight end Mike Caussin (hip); offensive lineman Chris Hairston (back); safety Duke Williams (concussion-like symptoms); and defensive tackle Kyle Williams (Achilles).
