The Cleveland Browns cut four players Monday, including defensive end Dave Kruger, the brother of outside linebacker Paul Kruger.

Dave Kruger signed with the Browns as an undrafted rookie out of Utah. He was slowed by a concussion early in training camp and recorded one tackle this preseason.

The other players waived were: defensive back Vernon Kearney, wide receiver Cordell Roberson and linebacker Tommy Smith. The Browns have 84 players on the roster and need to get down to the league limit of 75 by 4 p.m. Tuesday.

Note: The Browns later announced they have terminated the contract of wide receiver Jordan Norwood, a former practice squad player who had 36 catches and one touchdown in 16 games for Cleveland.
