Cincinnati Bengals reserve defensive end DeQuin Evans was suspended without pay for the first eight games of the 2013 regular season for violating the NFL policy on performance enhancing substances.
Evans was a long shot to make the Cincinnati roster. This marks the second time he's been disciplined by the league. In 2011, he served a four-game suspension while on the Bengals practice squad.
The Bengals signed Evans as an undrafted player out of Kentucky. He made four tackles this preseason.
