BOSTON -- Bruins defenseman Dennis Seidenberg is the first causality of the shortened season.

Seidenberg will miss today's game against the Winnipeg Jets with a lower-body injury and is listed as day to day. Seidenberg helped the Bruins to a 3-1 win over the Rangers in the season opener on Saturday. He also participated in the team's practice Sunday morning.

As a result of Seidenberg's absence, newcomer Aaron Johnson will make his Bruins debut today. Per pregame warmups, Johnson will be paired with Johnny Boychuk. Rookie Dougie Hamilton will be paired with Zdeno Chara, while Andrew Ference and Adam McQuaid remain the same.
