Big 3 near top of early All-Star voting

The Big 3 of Kevin Garnett, Paul Pierce and Ray Allen are among the top vote-getters at their positions, according to early returns in the NBA's All-Star fan balloting.

Garnett, ranked second among forwards, would be the team's only All-Star starter if the balloting ended today as fan voting will select the game's 10 starters. Pierce sits fourth among forwards, while Allen is fourth among guards. Rajon Rondo is eighth at guard, while Rasheed Wallace is eighth at center.

Despite the grassroots movement on the Internet in his support, Kendrick Perkins is a spot behind Wallace among centers, with nearly half as many votes as 'Sheed.

The All-Star game will be played on Sunday, Feb. 14, 2010 at Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, Texas. Here's the current voting breakdown courtesy of the NBA:
