For the second time this season, Boston Celtics point guard Rajon Rondo was nominated for the Eastern Conference Player of the Week honor, but was edged by a member of the Atlanta Hawks.

In three games since returning from suspension, Rondo has averaged 13.3 points, 12 assists, and 7.7 rebounds per game, posting a triple-double during Friday's loss to the Philadelphia 76ers (and nearly producing another in Saturday's rematch).

Rondo lost out to Atlanta's Josh Smith, who averaged 21 points and 12 rebounds as part of a 3-0 week. Blake Griffin was the Western Conference Player of the Week.

Down in the D-League, Maine Red Claws guard Shelvin Mack was named NBA Development League Performer of the Week. Mack spearheaded a 3-0 week by averaging 22.3 points, 7.3 assists, and 4.7 rebounds over 41.3 minutes per game.
