Pitching probables for Thursday's twinbill

FORT MYERS, Fla. -- Here are the pitchers -- all relievers -- for Thursday’s exhibitions against Northeastern (Game 1) and Boston College (Game 2). It will be a conventional double-header, unlike years past, when it was a day-night affair, and will offer both games for full price (in years past, it was half price for each game).

Vs. Northeastern:
Joel Hanrahan
Daniel Bard
Andrew Miller

Pedro Beato
Anthony Carter
Chris Carpenter

Vs. Boston College:
Koji Uehara
Andrew Bailey
Oscar Villareal
Terry Doyle
Jose De La Torre
Junichi Tazawa

Manager John Farrell said he’d like to get in an inning each for his pitchers in the two seven-inning games (though there were eight pitchers listed for the first game and six for the second). Most position players, he said, should all get two at-bats. The Sox will bring in extra minor leaguers to play in the latter innings.
