Player of the Weekend – Ryan Kelly, Duke
In his first game since early January, Kelly scored a career-high 36 points on 7-for-9 shooting from beyond the arc as Duke held off Miami 79-76. The last Blue Devil to score more in a game was J.J. Redick in 2006. Duke is now 4-0 against top-five opponents this season, the first team to do that since USC in 1991-92.

Scorer of the Weekend – Doug McDermott, Creighton
Creighton clinched its first outright Missouri Valley Conference title since 2001 behind McDermott’s season-high 41 points against Wichita State. He was 15-for-18 from the field, hitting all 10 of his 2-point attempts. He’s the first player to go at least 10-for-10 from 2-point range and score at least 40 since Colorado State’s Marcus Walker in 2007. The last player with a higher field-goal percentage in a 40-point game was VMI’s Reggie Williams in 2008.

Freshman of the Weekend – Ben McLemore, Kansas
McLemore had a career-high 36 points in the Jayhawks’ 91-65 win over West Virginia. The performance set a school-record for points by a freshman, eclipsing Danny Manning’s mark that had stood for 28 years. He’s just the fifth different Big 12 freshman to score 36 or more, joining Michael Beasley, Kevin Durant, Tommy Mason-Griffin and LaceDarius Dunn.

Stat Sheet Stuffer – Trey Burke, Michigan
Burke had 21 points, eight rebounds, five steals and four rebounds in Michigan’s win over Michigan State. He’s the first player to do that against a top-10 team since Chris Paul did it for Wake Forest against North Carolina back in 2005.

Ugly Stat Line of the Weekend – Marshall Henderson, Ole Miss
The Rebels suffered an embarrassing 73-67 loss to Mississippi State, in part due to an erratic performance from Henderson. He finished 3-for-18 from beyond the arc. The last player to attempt that many and shoot so poorly in a conference game was Elijah Ingram, who went 2-for-20 for St. John’s in 2003 against Syracuse.
