PHOENIX -- The Dallas Cowboys are looking into playing in the Hall of Fame game in Canton, Ohio, according to a source.
The last time the Cowboys played in the Hall of Fame game was 2010, the year Emmitt Smith was inducted into the Hall of Fame. Former Cowboys offensive lineman Larry Allen is getting inducted this summer.
An extra preseason game would give the Cowboys more time to work with their new 4-3 scheme in game situations and get the offense familiar with a potential new playcaller.
The Cowboys conduct training camp in Oxnard, Calif., so several logistics would need to be worked out from a travel standpoint.
