Danny McCray earns pay bonus from NFL

PHOENIX -- The NFL released it's annual performance-based pay program list that compensates players for playing time based on their salaries.

Dallas Cowboys safety Danny McCray earned a team-high $236,316 in extra money. McCray's base salary was $540,000 for the 2012 season.

The league distributed $110.72 million in performance-based pay for the 2012 season.

Cincinnati Bengals linebacker Vontaze Burfict picked up the most money in the program. Burfict earned $299,465 in additional pay.

Players have received nearly $700 million since program's inception in 2002.
