Check out Rangers' new BP caps
ESPN.com's Paul Lukas of "Uni Watch" has all of the designs for the batting practice caps on MLB teams. That includes Texas. Lukas goes through each cap and gives them a grade. Here's what he said about Texas' new BP caps:
The Rangers wore this same BP cap logo, with the Texas state flag, from 2003 through 2006. Felt too busy then, still feels too busy now, and the red brim on this version adds to the overkill. Grade: C+
I kind of like it. Yes, I see Lukas' point that it's a bit busy, but I like the Texas flag. Heck, I was sort of hoping the Rangers might just put the Texas flag on the hat and call it a day, but that probably isn't a great move for branding. So this has the Texas "T" and the state flag. I'm cool with that.
What do you think of the design?
