Texas Rangers outfielder Nelson Cruz is still planning on participating in the World Baseball Classic, according to general manager Jon Daniels. He's also expected to arrive at spring training on time.

Cruz hasn't spoken publicly since the Miami New Times story on PEDs broke. But he'll have to face the media at some point soon, probably in Surprise when he arrives and again while playing in the WBC. So he'll need to be prepared for that.

Since MLB is investigating, the club has no choice but to pencil in Cruz as the right fielder, but be prepared for life without him if he's suspended for 50 games.
