Ogando goes 7 innings in rehab start

Alexi Ogando pitched seven innings in a rehab start Thursday night for Triple-A Round Rock, positioning himself to come off the disabled list and start for the Rangers on Tuesday against the New York Yankees.

Ogando began with 4 1/3 perfect innings before allowing a double to Iowa's Edgar Gonzalez in the top of the fifth inning. Ogando allowed a two-run home run to Donnie Murphy in the sixth inning.

Ogando threw 80 pitches, 49 for strikes. He allowed three hits and a walk to go with two strikeouts.

Manny Ramirez was 1-for-4 in his ninth game for Round Rock as he continues his comeback attempt with the Rangers. Ramirez had a single in the first inning.
