Tillman (1-3, 3.95 ERA): Tillman is fourth in the American League in wins and was a late addition to the American League All-Star team by Detroit manager Jim Leyland Tillman had a seven-game winning streak snapped by the New York Yankees on July 6 He was been hit hard this month, allowing eight runs in 11 1/3 innings He's given up 18 hits, two of which were home runs Tillman has a problem giving up the long ball, allowing 20 home runs in 111 2/3 innings, which is the sixth most in the AL Tillman is 2-1 with a 3.60 ERA in three career starts against the Rangers He beat Texas last season, allowing three runs in 6 2/3 innings.
Hitters: Nate McLouth is 2-for-3 against Perez. Ian Kinsler, Nelson Cruz and Geovany Soto have all hit home runs against Tillman in limited at-bats.
