Rangers to open 2014 at home vs. Phillies
The complete 2014 schedule was announced Tuesday by Major League Baseball.
The Rangers will play an NL opponent in the season opener for the first time in club history. Texas will also have home series against NL East opponents Atlanta and Miami and road series against the New York Mets, Washington and the Marlins.
The Rangers' "prime" NL opponent in the Colorado Rockies. Texas and Colorado will play home and home two-game series, May 5-6 at Coors Field and May 7-8 at Rangers Ballpark in Arlington.
The Phillies will be in Arlington for two more games Tuesday and Wednesday April 1 and April 2, then the Rangers will go on a six-game road trip to Tampa Bay and Boston that coincides with the NCAA Men's Basketball Final Four being at AT&T Stadium in Arlington April 5-7
Game times for the 2014 schedule will be announced at a later date.
