Why McCoy may break out in Week 5

Despite all the talk about the Philadelphia offense over the course of the first four weeks of the NFL season, individually the numbers are not there for guys like Nick Foles and LeSean McCoy. In the case of McCoy, who has averaged just 2.7 yards in 70 carries and has as many fumbles as touchdowns (1), the Eagles' offensive line has provided little room for him to run.

So why, then, may Week 5 be the week McCoy busts out?

Big improvements for MKG's offense?

For the two years Michael Kidd-Gilchrist has been in the NBA, the same problem has continued to haunt him and, truth be told, lower his ceiling as a player in this league. That problem, as you know, is his shooting.

MKG's unnatural shooting motion has hurt his offensive abilities, because as long as he's a non-threat from the perimeter then defenders can sag off him to stop his drives and cut off passing lanes.

But, judging by the look of MKG's new-and-improved jumper, year three could be a big one for the former Kentucky star.

Why K.J. McDaniels is not with Sixers

UPDATE: K.J. McDaniels has decided to take the second option we discussed below, reports Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo Sports. McDaniels will sign a one-year contract for the rookie minimum of $507,336 that is not guaranteed.

McDaniels will now be a restricted free agent in 2015 and he could cash in next July if he does put up solid numbers and starts at shooting guard.

Rookie shooting guard K.J. McDaniels, the No. 32 pick in the 2014 NBA draft, was not with the team as the began training camp on Tuesday. A representative of the teams tells Tom Moore of The Intelligencer that McDaniels' contract "hasn’t been executed" since he and the Sixers have not agreed to terms yet.
