FLORHAM PARK, N.J. -- On a day where the front office rendered the best player on the team speechless, Jets coach Rex Ryan almost made it through his interview without being asked about the Jan. 14 accident in Bethlehem, Pa.

“Fortunately no one was injured,” Ryan said. “Wish it never took place obviously."

Ryan was driving in a 2013 red Mustang when drove through an intersection and hit a car which then collided with a third vehicle. Ryan told the officer at the scene that he was trying to beat the light, according to the police report.

The investigation into the accident isn’t complete yet. The department has 30 days from the accident to close the book on it.
