Pedro Feliciano, who agreed to remain with the organization when the Mets passed on placing him on the Opening Day roster, will not appear in a minor league game anytime soon.
Pitching coach Dan Warthen said Feliciano will continue to work at the team's Port St. Lucie complex to build shoulder strength. Feliciano threw an inning in a simulated game Tuesday, as did Frank Francisco.
Before the Mets broke camp, Feliciano said he expected to pitch for Class A St. Lucie. But that is now not expected in the near future.
