LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. -- With a projected outfield of Curtis Granderson in left field, Juan Lagares in center field and Chris Young in right field, it would appear Eric Young Jr is now a bench player.

Don't jump to that conclusion, though, Sandy Alderson cautioned Sunday night.

"Let's not categorize players quite yet," Alderson said. "I mean, I know it looks like, 'Well, OK, you've got this guy and that guy ... ' But let's see how it plays out, because I think that's a little bit unfair to sort of predetermine."

Left unsaid is that it remains conceivable that Daniel Murphy gets traded by the Mets, which would open second base for Eric Young Jr.

"There are lots of things that could happen," Alderson said.
