NEW ORLEANS -- The San Francisco 49ers arrived in Louisiana for what they are calling just another business trip.

They arrived Sunday, seven days before their appearance in Super Bowl XLVII, and quickly compared this trip to their week-long stays in Youngstown, Ohio for consecutive regular-season games in the East.

Let's forget all that nonsense, shall we?

Super Bowl week is different. If the 49ers didn't realize it fully Sunday night, they'll realize it by Tuesday, when men dressed in superhero tights are screaming questions at head coach Jim Harbaugh. They’ll realize it Wednesday when reporters are questioning every member of their roster and coaching staff in the team hotel at 8 a.m. CT, when most of the team might just be rising if still on the West Coast.

This should be a fun week for the 49ers, but hardly business as usual. They might as well embrace the hype. There's no sense in denying it.
