NEW ORLEANS -- The best barometer of the Ravens' success has been quarterback Joe Flacco. More specifically, it's his interceptions.
The Ravens are 9-0 this season, including the playoffs, when Flacco isn't picked off in a full game (this excludes the regular-season finale when he played one quarter). Flacco hasn't thrown an interception since Dec. 16, 2012, against Denver, a streak of 162 passes without a pick.
In fact, the Ravens have won their last 19 games when Flacco isn't picked off in a full game. The last time Baltimore lost a game in which Flacco didn't throw an interception was December 2010 against the Steelers.
This season, Flacco has thrown eight touchdowns and six interceptions in six losses. He has 22 touchdowns and four interceptions in 13 wins, including the playoffs.
The 49ers picked off 14 passes in the regular season, which was tied for 16th in the NFL. Free safety Dashon Goldson led San Francisco with three interceptions.
