He's a long snapper, and he's going to the NFLPA Collegiate Bowl.

Jordan Cowart has committed to playing in the Jan. 19 all-star game after a college career that saw him become the first recruited scholarship long snapper in Notre Dame history.

The Plantation, Fla., native has been a four-year starter for the Irish and will fly out West to Carson, Calif., for the contest, which will be played at The Home Depot Center on the campus of California State University Dominguez Hills.

ESPN2 will televise the game at 6 p.m. ET.

Herm Edwards and Dick Vermeil will serve as head coaches for the game.
