Notre Dame center Matt Hegarty's recovery following a ministroke appears to be on the fast track.
Hegarty has been cleared to resume full football activities starting March 15, his family told BlueandGold.com's Dan Murphy.
Hegarty suffered the scare Nov. 8 and was sidelined the rest of the season. If healthy, he figures to challenge for the starting center spot vacated by Braxton Cave.
Coach Brian Kelly had said on Jan. 29 that he was optimistic about Hegarty's playing future.
Spring practice begins March 20.
