Kelly awarded honorary monogram

September, 27, 2013
Brian Kelly received an honorary Notre Dame monogram Friday morning, the school announced, making the Irish head coach the 280th honorary monogram recipient.

From the release:
"It's a great honor to be a member of the Monogram Club," Kelly said. "It's greatly appreciated, because after being here four years now, I know what it takes to be a Monogram award winner. The sacrifice that you have to make to earn that ND is incredible. I get a chance to see it every day. I live it in the day-to-day discourse with our student-athletes."

The 97-year-old club has more than 7,500 members who have earned the distinction from athletic endeavors, along with honorary members who have been recognized for their support.
