Tennessee has zeroed in on West Virginia assistant Robert Gillespie as its top target to replace Jay Graham as the Vols' running backs coach, according to several reports.

Graham, a former Tennessee All-SEC running back, left this week to join the Florida State staff. He had been a key recruiter for the Vols, and was the only holdover from Derek Dooley's old staff to be re-hired by new Tennessee coach Butch Jones.

Oddly enough, Graham replaced Gillespie at South Carolina following the 2008 season when Gillespie left to join the Oklahoma State staff. Gillespie, a running back at Florida under Steve Spurrier, has been with Dana Holgorsen at West Virginia the past two seasons.

The Vols have also talked to former Chicago Bears running backs coach Tim Spencer about the job.
