Beckett gets three cortisone shots

After receiving three cortisone shots in his upper back on Monday, Red Sox right-hander Josh Beckett said he was feeling much better and any speculation about a serious problem was overblown.

Beckett was scratched from his start on Monday night due to muscle spasms. His back tightened on the plane from New York to Boston Sunday night and he felt pain on Monday.
