Agent: Mankins not happy with contract

ORLANDO, Fla. -- Pro Bowl guard Logan Mankins is staying away from the New England Patriots' voluntary offseason program because of dissatisfaction with his contract situation, his agent Frank Bauer said Monday at the NFL's annual meeting.

Mankins is a restricted free agent who was tendered at the highest level, at $3.26 million. While the Patriots have struck extensions with other players, Mankins has seen little to no movement toward a new deal, which sparked his decision to stay ...
