Pedroia says wrist felt fine in game

SARASOTA, Fla. -- Boston Red Sox second baseman Dustin Pedroia said he experienced no problems with his previously sprained left wrist in Saturday's 6-1 exhibition loss to the Baltimore Orioles.

Pedroia went 1 for 4 and was active in the field.

"I hit the ground a few times and dove and I was fine," he said. "Swinging, I was fine."

Pedroia stuck out in his first at-bat, which he said was a result of getting his timing back. He singled his next time up.
