Red Sox trade for Cash

Kevin Cash is coming back to Boston.

The Red Sox re-acquired the 32-year-old catcher from the Houston Astros in exchange for infielder Angel Sanchez.

Sanchez played in one game for Boston. He hit .274 for Triple-A Pawtucket.

Cash, who played a total of 73 games for Boston in 2007 and 2008, earned a World Series ring in '07 and became Wakefield's personal catcher in '08, is needed now that the Red Sox have put All-Star catcher Victor Martinez (thumb) and backup ...
