Ellsbury will work out with Red Sox

Boston Red Sox outfielder Jacoby Ellsbury, who has missed all but nine games this season with a rib injury, will join the team in Toronto this weekend, manager Terry Francona said Wednesday.

He will resume baseball activities there before reporting to Fort Myers on Monday to continue his rehab. He had been working out in Arizona.

Ellsbury suffered the injury in a collision with third baseman Adrian Beltre on April 11.
