Kevin Youkilis' surgery goes 'great'

NEW YORK -- Red Sox first baseman Kevin Youkilis had successful surgery Friday afternoon to repair a torn adductor muscle in his right thumb.

Joe Bick, Youkilis' agent, said the procedure took one hour and 20 minutes, and Dr. Thomas Graham told Bick everything went "great" and he expects Youkilis to have a full recovery.
