Boston Celtics guard Rajon Rondo's sore left hamstring may be getting better, but it's not good enough for him to play.

Celtics coach Doc Rivers announced before Monday's 99-76 win over Atlanta that Rondo would sit out the affair, the second straight game Rondo has missed.

He was hurt in Friday night's loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder. Rondo missed only one game last year and just two the year before.

Nate Robinson started in Rondo's place. He had 16 points and 10 assists. Robinson, who also started on Sunday, had a team-high 22 points on Sunday afternoon against the Toronto Raptors.
