INDIANAPOLIS -- Boston Celtics point guard Rajon Rondo missed his fifth straight game on Tuesday when he sat out a 95-83 win against the Indiana Pacers with a sprained left ankle.

Rondo, the league leader with 13.8 assists per game, hasn't played since a 10-point, 14-rebound effort at New York on Dec. 15. He was helped off the court early in the fourth quarter against the Knicks, then he returned and finished the game.

Boston also was without backup Delonte West, who is sidelined after having surgery on his broken right wrist on Nov. 30.

Boston is 4-1 without Rondo and still have the best record in the Eastern Conference. The Celtics were coming off an 86-78 loss at Orlando on Dec. 25.
