Boston College landed a recruit in two sports as Bobby Swigert of Louisville, Ohio, committed to the school to play football and baseball, according to multiple reports.

BC recruited Swigert to play wide receiver and shortstop, his high school football coach, Paul Farrah, told the Akron Beacon Journal.

The 6-foot, 175-pounder picked the Eagles over schools such as Michigan, Stanford, Nebraska and Pittsburgh.

"I fit in so well with the kids, and the coaches are awesome," Swigert told The Repository in Canton, Ohio. "I got that feeling early it was the right place for me."

Swigert tore ligaments in his right foot and underwent season-ending surgery following the fourth game of his senior season, the Akron Beacon Journal reports. He played quarterback this fall, completing 71 of 123 attempts for 760 yards and seven touchdowns. He also rushed for 126 yards and one more score.

As a junior, Swigert caught 58 passes for 732 yards and six touchdowns. Swigert also returned two kickoffs, two punts and two interceptions for touchdowns last fall.
