FOXBOROUGH, Mass. -- Patriots running back Danny Woodhead left Sunday's game against the Miami Dolphins in the first quarter with a head injury and did not return.
Prior to leaving the game, Woodhead absorbed a big hit that led to a lost fumble.
It appeared that Woodhead was being put through a concussion-related test by the Patriots' training staff on the sidelines.
Woodhead had his helmet taken away from him by a member of the medical staff and he remained on the bench while the Patriots' offense took the field. While he never returned to the game, he was back on the sideline in the second half.
