According to a team source, however, the Bruins expect him to be ready for Game 3 on Thursday in Tampa.
Despite being without Bergeron, the Bruins beat the Lightning 6-5 to even the series 1-1.
Bergeron skated with the team Tuesday morning and again in the afternoon with the Aces, a group of Providence Bruins that Boston has on hand for the playoffs.
Bergeron has now skated for four consecutive days since suffering a mild concussion in Game 4 of the Eastern Conference semifinals against the Philadelphia Flyers on May 6. A team source also said that Bergeron is "doing great."
Bruins coach Claude Julien was asked earlier Tuesday if he already knew Bergeron's status and if he was keeping it on the down low for a competitive edge.
"No comments," Julien said with a smile. "Nice try."
