Below is our high school football New England Top 10, as selected by our panel of staff writers and correspondents. Look for these rankings to be updated every Monday through the football season.

1. Everett (Mass.) (6-0) 1 The Crimson Tide can validate their No. 1 ranking again on Saturday when No. 4 BC High comes calling.
2. Masuk (Conn.) (5-0) 2 Masuk kept rolling by putting up 61 points in a win over Notre Dame-Fairfield.
3. Duxbury (Mass.) (6-0) 4 The Dragons took care of business in Patriot League play, with their tenacious 'D' pitching a shutout against Scituate.
4. BC High (Mass.) (4-2) 6 We can't wait for Saturday and Massachusetts' game of the year. Might be the best game in New England this year, for that matter.
5. Xavier (Conn.) (5-0) 5 Pat D'Amato threw three touchdown passes while leading the Falcons over Fairfield Prep, 35-0.
6. Cheverus (Maine) (7-0) 9 The Stags got their first test of the season in downing Portland, 21-7.They gave up the first touchdown then rallied for three of their own, two by Spencer Cooke, who rushed for 156 yards.
7. Daniel Hand (Conn.) (5-0) NR The Tigers enter out regional Top 10 despite getting a first-half scare from Notre Dame-West Haven, but they endured to earn a 24-14 win.
8. Bridgewater-Raynham (Mass.) (5-1) NR The Trojans have been climbing our Massachusetts poll ever since their opening week loss to No. 3 Duxbury. B-R makes its debut after ousting Rhody's best team, La Salle Academy, on Saturday.
9. Darien (Conn.) (5-0) NR The Blue Wave make their poll debut after blanking Trumbull, 21-0, in a re-match of last year's FCIAC championship game.
10. Pinkerton (N.H.) (6-1) 3 We're putting the Astros on double-secret probation after their shocking loss to Brockton (Mass.), but they're still the team to beat in the Granite State.
