Piniella may remove Gregg as closer

Chicago Cubs manager Lou Piniella suggested on Monday night that he will replace Kevin Gregg as the closer after another blown save.

Gregg yielded four runs in the ninth inning -- including three on a home run by Kyle Banks -- to cap a 4-1 loss to the San Diego Padres. He's given up 12 home runs, the most of any closer in the majors. It was Gregg's sixth blown save.
